Is It Christmas In Heaven On December 25th

Written especially for Ryan - I love you and I miss you

Is it Christmas in heaven on December 25th

Are the angels preparing by helping to wrap the gifts

Are the decorations hung and the Christmas tree in place

Do the Christmas lights come on when the dark sky wins the race

Is it Christmas on earth even though you’re not here

The cookies are baked; there’re lots of goodies and cheer

The tree has ornaments with pictures of you

I hope you can see our lights – the orange glow is brand new

Is it Christmas in heaven even though I’m not by your side

When I light the tree I can feel your energy up high

Do you miss us every day - can you see our family gather

I hope you can see our smiles – there is still an air of sadness

When we sit at the table for dinner at night

There is always an empty place toward the middle right

I hope you can hear our blessing in heaven above

Because no matter where Christmas is

You are the one we miss and still very much love
