They Met By Chance

They met by chance one could say

Because they lived many miles away

When Kathleen decided to move to the Cape

To start a new life in another state

Rick built a house on a piece of land

Then posted a room to share his plan

She applied with no luck but never gave up

And once they met

The room was no longer for rent

With his masterpiece ready to go, they moved in together

And shared one life instead of two

Their love, you could say, was already in bloom

So they married one another and followed the moon

With each new day they created more love,

Many, countless dreams, and a new baby to hug

And as time went on this family of three

Shared a bit of sadness but always lived in harmony

And this is the story that they told over the years

A love story by chance, Rick & Kathleen’s divine plan

But the lesson it teaches is

One never knows

Who you will meet and where you will go
